Mobile Game Development Company is looking for a Senior 2D Concept Artist to create exciting games. The company’s active project is a mobile city-builder/farm game in the soft launch stage.
About The Role:
The purpose of a 2D Concept Artist is to imagine and conceptualize non-existent situations and characters from different perspectives, following the game design needs and creative direction. They produce expressive artwork that brings to life the story while keeping the world’s style consistent.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?
Storyboarding and Sketching: Produce rough sketches, thumbnails, and storyboards to explore and visualize initial ideas for stories and characters;
Design: Create unique visual designs for characters, environments, and props;
Render: Refine sketches and designs based on the project’s needs, artistic direction, and feedback in order to create the final art that meets the project style;
Research and Reference Gathering: Study various visual styles, actual cartoons, popular games, and other relevant sources to ensure the art is solid and authentic;
Iterative approach: Create multiple iterations and variations of the visual designs based on feedback, ensuring alignment with the overall vision and artistic direction of the project;
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with art leads, game designers, animators, and other team members to align designs with the product;
Efficient time management: Work efficiently to achieve the estimated times for each phase and punctually meet the delivery date.
What kind of professional are we looking for?
Great artistic skills with a strong understanding of anatomy, perspective, isometry, color, and composition;
Highly creative and imaginative with the ability to generate original ideas and concepts that stand out;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to accept feedback and incorporate it into designs;
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality standards and craftsmanship in character designs. Ability to convey character personality and emotions through subtle details and nuances;
4+ years of experience in the videogame industry.
